Wheatbelt towns recognised in the Tidy Towns Awards

Wheatbelt towns are finalists in the 50th Keep Australia Beautiful Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities Awards 2019. The Awards celebrate community efforts towards sustainability including reducing litter, water and energy consumption, recycling, celebrating culture and heritage and protecting the natural environment. 

Categories and Finalists include: 

Young Legends - West Arthur;

Heritage and Culture - Dumbleyung and Kukerin; Northam;

Environmental Education - Quairading; and

Community Action & Wellbeing - Cunderdin and West Arthur.   

The winners will be announced at the Tidy Towns Sustainable Communities State Awards Presentation in Perth on 25 October.
