The Wheatbelt Development Commission’s (WDC) Board and Regional Development Australia (RDA) Wheatbelt Inc Committee met at the Merredin CRC on 13 June for the annual strategy meeting. The annual meeting is a great opportunity for both organisations to plan for the coming year and identify priority areas for collaboration.

The shared priorities are aged care, telecommunications, transport and business development, with a focus on jobs growth, investment/trade ready capacity building and understanding the technology driven future.

The focus of both agencies is job creation and economic development, to make the Wheatbelt a better place in which to live, work, visit and invest. RDA Wheatbelt represents the Australian Federal Government and WDC represents the WA State Government, and we work together with the 42 Local Governments, businesses and communities to grow and strengthen the region.
