Wheatbelt Blueprint Released

After twelve months of research and stakeholder engagement, the Wheatbelt Regional Investment Blueprint has been released for public comment. The public comment period ends on Friday, 18 July 2014.
This Blueprint provides a framework for the future growth of the Wheatbelt, and takes us on a journey of identifying:
- The desired future state of the Wheatbelt region (Vision);
- The Wheatbelt’s potential to grow and prosper in the global environment in which we function;
- The Region’s human, economic, social and environmental capacity, and gaps in that capacity; and
- The interventions needed to maximise the existing capacity, minimise the gaps and thus transform the Region from a ‘business as usual’ scenario to achieve aspirational population and economic growth goals.

The Wheatbelt Development Commission is hosting a regional road show where anyone can find out more. There will be two more opportunities to hear about the Wheatbelt Blueprint.

Moora: 6 June 2014, 11.30am – 1.30pm
Venue: Moora Tennis Club
Blueprint Road Show public information sessions have commenced and are open to anyone interested in knowing more or contributing to the Wheatbelt’s vision, goals and aspirations for the year 2050.
