Six projects will share in $573,500 funding through Round 6 of the Wheatbelt Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program.

More than $50 million has been injected into WA regions over nine years through RED Grants for local projects that stimulate economic development and diversification in regional Western Australia.

Through the previous five rounds of RED Grants, more than $3.6 million has been provided to support 42 projects across the Wheatbelt.

The successful Wheatbelt RED Grants Round 6 applicants were announced this week by the Hon. Don Punch MLA, Minister for Regional Development; Disability Services; Fisheries; Seniors and Ageing; Volunteering, at an event in Moora.

The six successful projects span the Wheatbelt region and cover a range of industries, including the agri-tourism, childcare and construction sectors, and highlighted the entrepreneurship, innovation and diversification of the region.
