Regional Innovators and Leaders coming together

The Regional Innovation Summit will bring together regional innovators and business leaders to help inform the government agenda for job creation, talent and skills development and entrepreneurship in regional WA.
The event will be held in Bunbury on 23 November 2017 and will assist to guide investment of the government's $4.5 million regional component of the New Industries Fund. The fund aims to support and accelerate regional innovation, which will be critical to building the capability and economic sustainability of regional economies and the communities that service them.
Minister for Regional Development, Alannah MacTiernan said: “We need to drive diversification across regional WA to end the reliance on single industries in regional cities and towns and support 21st century jobs”.
Industry and community leaders with established business accelerators and co-working spaces across regional WA will be in attendance to discuss potential models for fostering regional innovation and entrepreneurship.
The Wheatbelt is adaptive, diverse and fosters innovation and leadership through its clever people, vibrant economy and connected communities. The Summit and the New Industries Fund offer great opportunities for business and industry to grow the Wheatbelt’s global market share.
