Minister for Tourism, Hon Paul Papalia CSC MLA and the Minister for Regional Development, Hon Alannah MacTiernan MLC have announced a funding boost for regional tourism in WA.
A total of 68 regional events across the State will share $1,082,500 funding from the Regional Events Scheme 2019-20, supported by the State Government through Tourism WA and Royalties for Regions.
The funding will support popular Wheatbelt events including the Kulin Bush Races, the Avon Descent, A Taste of Chittering, the York Motorcycle Festival, the Beverley Heroic cycle race, the Lancelin Ocean Classic Festival and the Moondyne Festival in Toodyay.
A variety of events throughout the year will bring visitors into the Wheatbelt and support local communities.
